Lisa Hunt ha cominciato a cantare nella grande tradizione afroamericana della musica Gospel, dove risiedono le origini del suo stile vocale carico di Soul. Lisa ha studiato canto al City College di New York ottenendo la laurea in musica e successivamente ha pubblicato il suo album di debutto “A little Piece of Magic” per l’etichetta Universal/Polidor. Molti dei suoi brani sono stati pubblicati su varie compilation in tutto il mondo e sia come cantante che come compositrice ha venduto più di un milione di copie di dischi.  Ha cantato in colonne sonore di film americani che includono “Subway’s Stories” per la HBO (regia di Jonathan Demme), “Goodnight Moon” con Lauryn Hill, Natalie Cole, Patti Labelle, Billy Crystal e Susan Sarandon. In studio ha collaborato con famosi produttori come Jellybean Benitez (Madonna), Toni C (Whitney Houston), Frank Farion (LaBouche, Milli Vanilli), The Berman Brothers (Amber, Ultra Nate), e molti altri.

In Italia è stata la vocalist di Zucchero per molti anni sia in studio che sul palco e ha lavorato con moltissimi artisti, da Pavarotti a Ray Charles.Ha condiviso il palco con i più grandi della musica: Eric Clapton, James Brown, Dionne Warwick, Brian May, Randy Crawford, Joe Cocker, Miles Davis,  Andrea Bocelli, Ronan Keating, Macy Gray, Mousse T, Dolores O’Riodan (dei Cranberries), Tina Arena, Cheb Mami, Alen Vitasovic e Jo Hansson. In Australia Lisa ha fatto tour e registrato con Jimmy Barnes, Deisel, Radio Freedom, e Johnny “B.Good” Johnson. Lisa è anche un’attrice ed ha partecipato a molti Off-Broadway Musical e agli show da lei prodotti “The Roots Of My Soul” e “Bluesical”. Negli ultimi anni è stata in tour in Australia e in Medio Oriente con la Rhythm and Blues retrospective ‘Forever Soul’. Attualmente la sua attività si divide fra l’Australia, New York e Italia

Lisa Hunt started to sing following the great Afro-American tradition of Gospel music, where her Soulful vocal style takes origin. Lisa attended singing classes at New York’s City College where she graduated. After that, she published her first solo album called “A Little Piece of Magic”  (Universal/Polidor label). Many of her tracks have been included in several compilations all over the world and she sold, both as singer and composer, more than a million copies. She sang in many movie soundtracks including “Subway’s Stories” for HBO (director Jonathan Demme), “Goodnight Moon” with Lauryn Hill, Natalie Cole, Patti Labelle, Billy Crystal & Susan Sarandon.  She also worked with famous produces such as Jellybean Benitez (Madonna), Toni C (Whitney Houston), Frank Farion (LaBouche, Milli Vanilli), The Berman Brothers (Amber, Ultra Nate), and many others.

In Italy she used to sing as backing vocals for Zucchero,on stage and recordings, and ishe had the chance to work with many artists, starting from Pavarotti and Ray Charles. In Australia she did tours and recorded with Jimmy Barnes, Deisel, Radio Freedom, e Johnny “B.Good” Johnson. Lisa is also an actress and she played in many Off-Broadway musicals and in her own production shows “The Roots Of My Soul” and “Bluesical”. In the last years she did tours in Australia and Middle East with the Rhythm and Blues Retrospective “Forever Soul”. Currently, her music activity is divided among Australia, New York and Italy.
